abstract
This paper presents the model of a step-down converter based on an R2P2 structure for renewable energy applications, improving some aspects compared to traditional step-down topologies. The converter integrates a LC filter as part of the topology, in order to avoid the demand of pulsating current to the input source and decreasing the EMI effects. Consequently, the system becomes sixth order by having six elements that store energy. Therefore, the model and design of a linear controller under voltage control with specific characteristics for renewable applications is proposed, where some aspects of the system dynamics are considered. © 2021 IEEE.
