abstract
Sinusoidal voltage is highly appreciated in applications such as Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and Photovoltaic Systems. All the systems before mentioned include a power filter in the output stage, whose purpose is to reduce the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), however is desirable to obtain a good efficiency of the system. This paper presents a systematic evaluation of the LC filter performance, taking into account parameters such as the load magnitude and the PWM waveform. The characteristics evaluated are those involved in the performance of power converter: total harmonic distortion, filter input power factor and load regulation. The evaluation is performed considering 1 KW, 60 Hz Photovoltaic System.
