abstract
Fixed target experiments are a particularly useful tool in the search of very weakly coupled particles in the MeV-GeV range that could represent the mediators of a number of portals to a hidden sector, an example being the dark photon. The NA62 experiment at the CERN SPS is currently taking data. High-intensity setup and detector performance make NA62 particularly suited for searching new-physics in the hidden sector. We will report the status and prospects of the dark photon searches in the NA62 framework. © Published by ARISF, 2018
