This paper introduces a methodology to design quadratic step-up dc-dc converters based on the reduced redundant power processing principle. Here, it is included the expressions for the selection of passive elements, as well as, the expressions of average and maximum values of voltage and current useful to select properly the semiconductor elements. The aim of this paper is to develop a methodology for R2P2 converters under an operation in Continuous Conduction Mode. Simulations in Pspice verifies the results. © 2016 IEEE.
