abstract This paper presents the design and development of an in-wheel brushless DC (BLDC) motor test-bed, the BLDC motor alteration to introduce different electric fault scenarios is described. The BLDC motor was rewinded to introduce short-circuit and open-circuit stator faults. © 2016 IEEE.
