My aim in this article is to make some remarks to comment on the main concepts and arguments of the text Person and formation. The anthropological contribution of Edith Stein to education by Rubén Sánchez Muñoz. The commentary is divided into four parts: in the first two I consider the fundamental features of Stein's anthropological conception, according to the description presented by Sánchez Muñoz, and I develop a critique of the problematic points related to such conceptualization; in the next two, I specifically consider the configuration of educational dynamics in order to identify the relationships that fundamentally entertain with anthropological theory. I conclude considering the necessity of an anthropological refoundation capable of thinking the Christian form accepting the challenge of a renunciation of the Aristotelian-Thomistic form of explanation. © 2018 Centro de Investigacion Social Avanzada.
