abstract
The surface modification of CNTs, is an area of great opportunities because of the problems agglomeration that present this type of nanoparticles to form part of a nanocomposite, from being unable to disperse evenly, for this reason in the present article are presents and discusses the study surface modification of multi-walled CNTs (MW-CNTs) assisted by ultrasonic energy, in this research were used organic acid, such as acetic acid and citric acid in aqueous solution, all the products were characterized by spectroscopy infrared FT-IR (ATR), dispersion tests, contact angle, and titration of acid groups, showing the presence of carboxylic groups presents In the surface MW-CNTs.
