Objective: To determine the prevalence of congenital cytomegalovirus infection in newborn infants included in the neonatal screening program coordinated by the State Health Services in San Luis Potosí. Results: Cytomegalovirus was detected in 10 (0.68%25) of the 1 457 samples included in the study.
