The chemistry of carbon nanostructures is a current subject of intense research, which continuously produces intellectual advances and novel materials. In particular, the functionalization of carbon nanostructures, such as nanotubes and more recently, few layers graphene via 1,3-dipolar cycloadditions of azomethine ylides has been relevant in the construction of novel nanohybrids materials with a great potential in a wide range of applications. © 2010 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH %26 Co.
