Magnetic nanocomposite of sugarcane bagasse/HKUST-1 for pesticide removal Chapter uri icon

abstract

  • This chapter provides an overview and highlights the recent advances in composites prepared by the deposition of porous coordination polymers (PCPs) and magnetite nanoparticles (MNPs) on fibrous materials; in particular, composites that use lignocellulose materials as the matrix to obtain magnetic biocomposites and their application for pesticide removal. Perspectives address synthetic methodologies and adsorptive properties of common pesticides. Also, as an example, we describe the preparation of a new functional composite based on CPC-HKUST-1 and sugarcane bagasse for the adsorption of three commercial pesticides (atrazine, carbofuran, and iprodione) used in agriculture. © 2024 Elsevier Inc.
