abstract

  • Mobile computing has been more accessible to people and the development of software for this area seeks to enhance all its benefits. A stand-alone mobile application does not depend on an Internet connection for its operation, and this operation allows it to be more useful. There are some platforms that allow us to manage an agenda and therefore get notifications about what we have scheduled, but an internet connection is needed if you want to check the agenda from a mobile device. This work, in a school context, offers to users a stand-alone mobile application to create awareness about activities planned in a school calendar. The application downloads the calendar only when such calendar gets updated and later works independently. It also sends personalizednotifications according to the user\%27s profile configured on the mobile device. The application called Uni-Agenda was developed in its first version and concept tests were carried out to ensure its correct operation. The next step is to release it to a group of university students so features like performance and usability will be evaluated.
