abstract

• Size dependent magnetic properties of small Fe-clusters are calculated using a tight-binding Hubbard Hamiltonian in the unrestricted Hartree-Fock approximation. Results for the magnetic moments at different sites within the cluster and for the average magnetization at T = 0 are presented. The structural stability is studied by assuming bcc- or fcc-like clusters. © 1988.
