abstract
In this paper a control law that solves the output voltage control problem for a half-bridge DC-AC converter is presented. The proposed controller is developed by considering an average model which is obtained under the assumption that the switching policy is of the PWM type and by the application of a passivity-based control design methodology that has shown to be useful in solving control problems for several mechanical, electrical and electromechanical systems. The obtained result is specialized to the control of an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for which an adaptive scheme is developed.
