abstract

  • This paper presents an experimental study of a control moment gyroscope using a new controller architecture which separates the controller design into two stages: (a) a nominal performance controller and (b) a robustness controller. The paper shows how to design such controllers for a gyroscope system so that the performance with the nominal controller may be maintained in the case of sensor failure and/or model uncertainties.
