A study on the geometry of antennas is proposed in order to find those that provide the optimal conditions of operation for applications in the terahertz range. We used an analysis based on evolutionary algorithms for that purpose, showing that the optimal geometries are not similar to those used in radio frequency applications. © 2017 IEEE.
