abstract
The research related to magnetic clusters exposed on surfaces or embedded intro matrices was discussed. The study focused on metal cluster deposited from a cluster beam and three dimensional nanostructure grown on a Au (111) surface by self-organization. These investigation were related to the orbital and spin moments using the technique of X-ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD) in photoabsorption. The results show that it is possible to turn soft ferromagnets with magnetic anisotropy constants similar to FePt by introducing small distortion.
