For layered high-temperature superconductors we have calculated the current-voltage curve in the flux-flow regime when the magnetic field is parallel or slightly inclined to the plane of layers. We assume that there are no defects in the crystal and that the pinning is entirely intrinsic: It results from the interaction between vortices and the layered structure of the superconductor. © 1990 The American Physical Society.
