A spin fluctuation theory for itinerant electrons that includes short-range magnetic order (SRMO) is used to calculate the Curie-temperature (Tc and the temperature dependence of the magnetization and the susceptibility of bulk Fe. When spin correlations are included the Curie-temperature is reduced by 9%25 to Tc = 2000 K. The calculated temperature-dependence of the magnetization and the magnetic susceptibility are in excellent agreement with experimental results. © 1986.
