Some Latin American proposals for objectives for research in library science [Algunas propuestas latinoamericanas de objetos de estudio para la investigaciÓn bibliotecologica]

Beginning from a general gnoseological framework and a specific epistemological frame of reference in the social sciences, this article reviews Latin American proposals, with differing theoretical and philosophical focuses, that deal with the objectives for the study of librarianship.
