abstract
The measurements of the effective pair potential u(r) between charged colloidal particles in a quasi-two-dimensional geometry under various conditions of confinement were reported. As such, aqueous suspensions of sulfate-polystyrene sphere of diameter σ in the micrometer range was examined. As a result, a long-ranged attractive component of u(r) was found, even in strongly confined systems where projection effects were negligible.
